It has been Marvel’s franchises that have received much of the attention in the build-up to the release of Disney Infinity 2.0, but that is a given since the game is called Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes. However, Disney Interactive has been promising that fans of Disney and Pixar characters would not be forgotten. Already announced for the game have been Maleficent, Stitch, and Merida. Disney has now announced that Aladdin and Jasmine are on their way too! Take a closer look at the characters in new images and video after the break.
The Aladdin franchise, still popular even though the Disney film was released over 20 years ago, has been missing from the world of video games for quite some time. No longer, though, as gamers will be able to play as both Aladdin and Jasmine in the new iteration of Disney Infinity. We saw hints to the film in the first game, including the addition of Abu as an elephant and the stunning Cave of Wonders entrance that players could add to the worlds they designed in the Toy Box mode. It was clear that the developers at Avalanche were fans of the film, but take a look at the new trailer featuring the two characters, and you will definitely spot some more fan service.

One feature that extends the replay value of the Disney Infinity games is the Toy Box mode, where players can build whatever they choose. The Aladdin-themed power discs that will be sold will allow you to bring more of Agrabah to the customizable mode than ever before:
