While Frozen continues to conquer the world of film, theme parks, and merchandise, there is one entertainment avenue that it still has not had a huge impact on – television. That may change, though, as Elsa made a surprise appearance at the end of the Once Upon A Time season finale in May, a move that nobody expected at this stage from the show’s writing team. The film was only about six months old when the new addition to the Disney family joined the show. We now know that she will be joined by other characters from the film, including Anna and Kristoff. Take a look at the actors that the show casted after the break!
TV Line is reporting that Elizabeth Lail and Scott Michael Foster have been cast in the roles of Anna and Kristoff. Lail is a newcomer to the industry, Once being her first role in a major studio’s TV show or film, making her somewhat of a blank slate. Foster, on the other hand, has a number of notable roles under his belt, none bigger than his turn as Cappie on ABC Family’s Greek. A fan favorite on the show, he delighted fans with his spot-on humor and sarcasm, but also added depth to the character, displaying his emotional side. In what could have easily been a one-dimensional character, he demonstrated the ability to add complexity, positive news for his upcoming role of Kristoff, which, given the nature of the show, should border more on drama than comedy.
The fourth season of Once Upon A Time is expected to debut in the September timeframe. We will have to wait until then to see just how Elsa, Anna, and Kristoff will fit into the show. Also, we do not yet know who will play Elsa, which we should find out in the near future.
