Frozen has been a major force at the box office, as it continues to smash records. The film is major competition at awards shows as well, as it has charmed audiences and critics alike. From its music and animation to its heartwarming story, Frozen is a clear choice for some major awards, including at the Academy Awards, where it is nominated in two categories. Last night, the Annie Awards, which highlights achievements in the animation industry, were handed out – Frozen, along with some Mickey Mouse shorts, gave Disney a big night. Frozen claimed five victories, including Josh Gad for his voice acting as Olaf, Michael Giaimo, Lisa Keene, and David Womersley for their production design work, and Robert Lopez, Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Christophe Beck for their music work. Additionally, Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee took home directing honors, while the film took the biggest award of the night, Best Animated Feature! Get A Horse!, the Mickey Mouse short that accompanied Frozen, was named Best Animated Short, while the Mickey shorts that have been playing on television recently won in Editorial (Illya Owens), Music (Christopher Willis), and Character Design (Paul Rudish).
