Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom is eagerly anticipating the next major iteration of its afternoon parade, Disney Festival of Fantasy. It is a parade that celebrates exactly what it sounds like it does – the story and characters from the park’s Fantasyland area. Included in the floats are characters from Peter Pan, The Little Mermaid, and even Pixar’s Brave. The coolest float revealed so far is easily the massive steampunk-inspired Maleficent dragon. After the break, watch a video of several of the floats arriving at Magic Kingdom for the first time!
In the video shared by the Disney Parks Blog, we get our best look yet at some of the floats. Specifically, we see the Maleficent dragon in action, as it moves along the street. Even in the video, it looks huge and stunning, so I cannot imagine how great it will look in person. The Peter Pan float is unique, incorporating a skull and a ship into its design. You can also spot a Fantasia-themed float, great news for fans of the classic film.
The Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade officially debuts at Magic Kingdom park in Walt Disney World this spring!
