Indiana Jones is one of the most iconic characters in film, with the greatest portrayal of the character coming in the debut of the franchise, Raiders of the Lost Ark. Disney now owns Lucasfilm, which is the studio responsible for the production of the four films, which means we will likely be seeing some more merchandise featuring Indy, especially as talks pick up for a fifth film. A new Vinylmation set for Indiana Jones is on the way, and you can preview all the great character designs after the break!
Vinylmations are known for their creative use of the Mickey Mouse shape, as various Disney characters are melded to fit onto the figures. This, obviously, requires the designers to channel their artistic side as most characters from properties that Disney owns do not easily fit into the shape of Mickey. Specifically, the two ears on top of the head have to be crafted in a way that does not make the character look ridiculous, while also capturing the theme of the figures. The Indiana Jones set, spotted by Vinylmation Kingdom, and designed by artist Thomas Scott, seems to have captured the thrill of the films. Take a closer look at the figures below:
Each individual figure will retail for $12.95, while the combo topper set (seen just above) will see a price of $24.95. Those who are inclined can purchase a complete tray of the figures for $207.50. The Vinylmations will be available on January 10th online at the Disney Store as well as at D-Street locations at the Walt Disney World and Disneyland resorts.
